Testimonials

We asked our Wonder Girls what it meant to them to be a Wonder Girl and the impact the program had on their lives…and here’s what they said…

“I’ve learned many things from Wonder Girls. Many of us experience similar feelings and difficulties and sharing them and being there for one another is one of the most precious things. I love the support and love from everyone in Wonder Girls. I also greatly enjoy helping my community. It helps me to feel good inside knowing that I’m doing good things.”

“Being surrounded by amazing people who constantly boost each other, and are willing to help without even asking.”

“Creating so many connections!”

“Being a good leader.”

“Being a Wonder Girl means embracing your greatness while helping others embrace theirs!”

“It means helping others and supporting everyone.”

“Helping! Making a difference and significant change.”

“It means a lot knowing that I can help people.”

“Being a Wonder Girl means embracing and cultivating the power you yourself possess while enabling and helping other women to discover their own power!”

“It means being empowered and independent.”

“It means helping to bring other women up and working together. It also means helping each other out.”

“Building life skills and surrounding myself with people who support me.”

“Being a Wonder Girl means building leadership and confidence skills and then using your platform to help others.”

“Helping others in need.”

“It means being a strong, independent woman and to always be curious to see what comes in the future.”

“It means to be confident in me and be sure of myself. And to help the community and others like we did today.”

“I had a great time working with the Wonder Girls! Everyone was so welcoming and genuine and working towards building each other up, while we were working towards a good cause! I look forward to volunteering for a Wonder Girls event again!”

“It was wonderful and I made new friends!”

“It felt good to be doing something to help other people!”

After hosting a virtual Wonder Girls workshop, we asked participants to tell us what they learned from the workshop, and here is what they said:

“Follow your dreams and accept the haters because there will be people who just don't want to see you succeed. Keep going regardless!”

“I learned a lot about how to develop the self-esteem of young girls and be an advocate for them as they go through puberty and adolescence.”

“Learn to be comfortable by/with yourself.”

“The 7 lessons were incredible and tangible lessons for any age. I also loved the lesson on creating a safe space. So important!”

“How to set boundaries and follow your passion.”

“Life strategies that were empowering and timely.”

“Important life lesson that young girls should know.”

“I learned about my perspective versus other's perspective. I also learned the value of surrounding yourself with the right people and that it is okay to be alone. Lastly, I learned that although the creative path is not "conventional", you should still take the leap if it is what you love to do.”

“I learned about having boundaries and how important it is to say yes and no to the things you want to do. I've always been a people pleaser but I don't end up pleasing myself in the end.”

“What I need to work on for myself and to stress these lessons to my daughters.”
”I really enjoyed meeting Magna and networking with some of the other guests on the call.”

“It was amazing and so inspiring! I love everything that Wonder Girls stand for!”

“I joined from my home and my daughter (13) dialed in with her friend from her friend's home. I think what worked out really well as they could relate to each other without her worrying about what I would say to her. For instance, "Better alone than in bad company" is something I would have absolutely commented on from her experience but better for her to reflect on that herself.”
